How is the quality of your copy? I bought one about a year ago and it was out of focus on one side of the lens, so I exchanged it for another one and it had the same problem. I didn't feel like testing another copy at that point so I just returned it.

This one isn't mine, i borrowed it from my brother, but until now i didn't see any flaws in the optical behavior, except the very strong ditortion in the middle,
but i've read somewhere that this lens is just a matter of luck if you get a well made copy or not.

Well distortion can be corrected fairly easily but if you can get a good copy you really can't beat it for that price!

yes, but i couldn't find any preset for the lens correction so it can be tricky,until i find out the correct values :)
but i'm still unsure if i should by one for myself.

Use ptlens....apparently it does have calibration for the this lens. It costs only $25 and is well worth the money.
